Post-screening talk and Q&A with Ushio & Noriko Shinohara

About

Celebrate the 2016 Emmy award win for the documentary Cutie and the Boxer, which traces the personal and artistic struggles of artists Ushio and Noriko Shinohara since their arrival to NYC in the late 1960s, at this special one-night-only screening and talk inside the Gallery! The Shinoharas are no strangers to Japan Society: Ushio-san's one-man show Tokyo Bazooka sent shockwaves through our galleries back in 1982, while the couple's contributions to the 2007 exhibition Making a Home received widespread acclaim.
