This partnership continues the legacy of the building’s original designer Thierry Despont where architecture, furniture, and fine art coalesce into a singular environment.
About
The architectural journey of 60 Curzon began with Robert Stern and was brought to fruition by Lee Polisano of PLP Architecture. The interiors, the final work of legendary French architect and designer Thierry Despont, reflect a cinematic and tactile opulence, seamlessly integrating history with modern sensibility.
Since early 2023, Artvisor’s Piero Tomassoni has curated a museum-quality collection for the building’s communal areas, show apartments, and private residences. These artworks were selected to complement Despont’s vision and to infuse the experience of daily life with thoughtful aesthetic engagement.
Now, in collaboration with Tatjana Von Stein—co-founder of the eponymous studio known for its emphasis on material richness and production of their own designed furniture—Artvisor extends this vision further. Von Stein’s furniture designs, defined by their architectural lines and sensual tactility, echo the building’s Art Deco language while offering a contemporary counterpoint. Her practice bridges art and design, crafting spaces where both functional and expressive possibilities of refined objects are profoundly felt.
In a city where heritage and innovation often collide, 60 Curzon stands as a beacon of thoughtful reinvention—its spaces now animated by the shared vision of Despont, Tomassoni, and Von Stein.
