Black feminist scholar Nydia A. Swaby leads an experimental research workshop on the black feminist archives held in south London.

About

Sifting through material Swaby has collected from Black Cultural Archives and The Feminist Library, we will examine the creation and curation of a black British feminist narrative in the archive.

Learn how each repository documents the emergence of the black women’s movement and preserves this legacy for future generations.

Explore the relevance of the word ‘diaspora’ to describe the physical location of these archives, the key issues it represents, and how we can begin to approach the material contained therein.
