About

A new exhibition brings together works from 1960s and 70s Japan and Korea. It includes sculptures and works on paper by the late influential artist Jiro Takamatsu. Documentation of performances by Hi Red Center at the 1962 Yamanote Line Festival, one of the influential collective’s first events, by photographer Murai Tokuji. It presents 24 works by renowned photographer Minoru Hirata, which capture key performances and events during the 1960s and 70s across public spaces. Kim Ku Lim re-stages his 1974 work Wiping Cloth for his first UK performance, alongside archival material and documentation from his early performance works.
