About
Julie's Bicycle and The Tetley invite you to join us for a conversation on environmental sustainability in the arts.
Ahead of the UN climate talks in Paris this December, this event brings together cultural leaders, arts organisations and practitioners to share knowledge and experience, and discuss our collective response moving forward.
Julie's Bicycle will share insights from the latest research on how arts and cultural organisations are addressing environmental sustainability, and a panel of cultural leaders will share their various approaches, including:
Rick Faulkner | Director, Chrysalis Arts
Creator of the Public Art Sustainability Assessment
Ellie Harrison | Artist
Ellie's 'Early Warning Signs' are currently on display at The Tetley as part of ArtCOP21
Alan Lane | Director, Slung Low and The Hub
Working to 'green' their building and engage the local community
Alan Dix | Director, 509 Arts
Instigator of the climate campaign, Coming of Age: 21 Reasons to Change the World
The panel and Q&A will be followed by lunch and afternoon breakout sessions.
