an exhibition of comics and politics

About

Including original work by Dave McKean, Zograf, Dan Goldman, Lee O'Connor, Fredrik Stromberg, Janek Koza, Lee O'Connor plus V V Brown and Lightspeed Champion, 'Ctrl.Alt.Shift Unmasks Corruption' explores the role of contemporary comic books and graphic novels and how they have repeatedly engaged with politics. Celebrating the launch of a new anthology of comic book work exploring global corruption as a key barrier to overcoming poverty, the exhibition also features examples of comics which have engaged with contemporary politics and historical events, from terrorism and election campaigns, to black panthers and women's lib, including a weird and wonderful array of vintage comics, from Reagan as Captain America to Superman saving Ethiopia from famine.
