Exhibition of PGCE Art and Design Students Work from the Institute of Education

About

Bob and Roberta Smith’s recent statement; "Art makes Children powerful", argues for greater value in cultural learning. We believe it is as important for teachers as it is for children.

Artist teachers should have the freedom to challenge and inspire young people, and to draw on their subject knowledge and experiences to translate and extend understanding of art and design in the classroom.

This show has been organised by current PGCE art and design students studying at UCL Institute of Education. UCL IOE is ranked number one in the world for education (2014 QS world University rankings). The artist teachers exhibiting represent a broad range of disciplines and backgrounds in the arts.
