Rita’s Kitchen presents a multimedia performance installation about Deptford Creek, bringing to life memories of the creek collected from members of the local community. Featuring live performances every day at 1pm and 3pm.
About
Creekshow is an exhibition recreating Deptford Creek through the memories of the local community. Inspired by their time moored on Deptford Creek, Mary Malone and Jenny Witzel (Rita’s Kitchen), ask what space the creek holds in our collective consciousness and how this space is threatened by encroaching regeneration.
Collaborating with a team of local artists, Creekshow is part exhibition, part performance: bringing to life a multimedia archive of found objects and oral testimonies. Rita’s Kitchen will be consulting disability-led arts organisation Shape Arts on the accessibility of the exhibition. Specific access provisions will be listed here nearer the time.
