Work alongside Lois Walpole to produce a woven sculpture or basket and experiment with a variety of materials. Learn coiling and looping techniques, then use these skills to create a unique piece of artwork. Please bring a selection of found or recycled materials with you to use in the workshop.
Lois Walpole is a world recognised basket-maker who produces beautiful woven sculptures and basketry from found and sustainable materials. She began her art studies at St Martin's School of Art and went on to gain her doctorate researching willow and contemporary product manufacture at the Royal College of Art. Now Lois lectures and tutors basketry courses and exhibits her work internationally.
