Experiment with different ways of generating imagery for screen print by hand!
About
In this fun, experimental day workshop you will be encouraged to use different methods of black mark-making and shown a variety of techniques to create positive artwork ready for print. To illustrate the screen printing process you will then create a collaborative screen print using these methods which you can take home at the end of the day. The focus of the workshop will be on the creative process of making images, rather than the technicalities of the screen printing process. By the end of the day you will have learnt various skills and techniques in producing artwork for print, and be fuelled with inspiration to take your skills to the next level!
This short course is ideal for beginners as a taster, or those who already have some experience of screen printing but would like to experiment with new ideas.
Lisa Stubbs is an experienced screen printer and freelance illustrator currently working in children’s book publishing. She has written and illustrated her own children’s books, as well as exhibiting her screen printed works.
