Run by a practicing photographer, one and a half day introductory course provides an opportunity to learn about SLR photography at a theoretical and practical level.
The course is run over two saturdays 10th Jan a full day and 24th Jan a half day.
Participants learn how to get the best out of their 35mm camera, take some photographs then process their film and make contact sheets in the darkroom.
The second session involves a deeper exploraion of the printing process. Learning how to make enlargements, dodge and burn, use of filters for example.
Darkroom chemicals and equipment provided. Students must bring own camera and buy basic materials, e.g. 35mm film and photographic paper. All abilities welcome.
