About

Exhibiting artist Mahwish Chishty is joined by photographic artist Lisa Barnard and IWM contemporary art researcher Clare Carolin to discuss the challenges of creating artworks which represent and comment on covert war.

This event runs alongside the newly-opened free exhibition IWM Contemporary: Mahwish Chishty, which features a mixture of painted and sculptural works that combine decorative Pakistani folk art with silhouettes of US military drones. Mahwish Chishty is a contemporary artist combining new media and conceptual work with her traditional practice as a miniature painter. This is the first international solo exhibition for the US-based artist.
