About
Parasol unit has invited the artist James Clar to present a specially commissioned artwork for the outdoor area at the foundation that will remain for the duration of winter. Working in the medium of light as a three-dimensional sculptural form, Clar's work explores the effects of media and technology within our culture. Clar studied film and animation at New York University. His interest is in new technology and production processes, using them as a medium, whilst also analysing and critiquing their modifying effects on human behaviour. Born 1979 in USA, James Clar lives and works in New York, USA.
