CORRINE EDWARDS: SYMBOLS OF GHANA

About

CONTEMPORARY CERAMICS. PRINTS. JEWELLERY Corrine Edwards (RCA) incorporates traditional Ghanaian Adinkra Symbols in a dynamic and innovative interpretation. Contemporary Ceramic sculptural forms, wall pieces, platters, and jewellery are decorated with a dry sky-blue glaze which enhances the outlines of imprinted symbols and raised textures. Edwards creates beautiful ceramic brooches & launches a range of silver ‘Symbol' jewellery at this exhibition. These beautiful ceramics are evocative of archeological artifacts. PRINTS: Photo-etching, lino cuts and monoprints.
