A celebration of the month of love,
About
Our first exhibition for the new decade of 2020 is Cornucopia a celebration of the month of love in which the gallery is overflowing with joyful and uplifting art, just the ticket for banishing those winter blues.
We are delighted to welcome four new artists to the gallery – Sabina Pieper, Carolyn King, Patricia Davies and Olivier Klompkes. They each bring their own individual style to this new exhibition but their work collectively presents a vibrant display of colour and form.
Sabina’s portraits are quite stunning. Inspired by the Tudor and Elizabethan age, Sabina adds a contemporary twist, sometimes quirky, often with slightly dark undertones, creating eye-catching canvases that command attention and engage the imagination.
In contrast Carolyn’s pieces are whimsical observations of later life. Her characters are beautifully drawn and captured in moments of time which are at once familiar and recognisable, and simply make you smile. They are little gems. Finally, Olivier and Patricia are figurative artists whose bold colours and defined forms transcend everyday objects into works of character, grace and beauty.
