Marianne Seabright and Kate Millican have been working collaboratively over the past year on a project entitled Conversations. Marianne has focused on painting, while Kate has concentrated on photography. Both artists have an interest in attachment, loss and memory, themes that significantly influence their work.
The creative process has been driven by swapping work and exchanging ideas about the two artistic practices both historically and through to the present day. At the heart of the project is an appreciation of the mutually beneficial relationship between these two art forms.
From 1st 27th March 2010, pieces of art from this project will be on display in the Tobacco Factory Cafe Bar.
An exhibition of supporting drawings can be found in the adjacent Green Room.
