Join curator Hammad Nasar and artist Rasheed Araeen in a conversation on transnational solidarity, and the art and literary writing in the journal Black Phoenix.

About

Black Phoenix was an anti-racist, anti-imperialist journal of contemporary art & culture in the Third World, co-founded by Rasheed and Mahmoud Jamal and published in three issues between 1978 and 1979. The speakers, curator Hammad Nasar and artist Rasheed Araeen, will also discuss Third Text, which Rasheed launched as a successor theoretical art journal in 1987.
