New York-based fashion designer Jason Wu will discuss his career and current collaboration with Otis College of Art and Design and the MADWORKSHOP Foundation with LACMA senior curator of costume and textiles Sharon Takeda. Wu's project with Otis College will engage students in a fashion design studio that examines the history and symbolism of women's uniforms. Wu has garnered worldwide acclaim through his eponymous label, creating sophisticated and beautifully crafted silhouettes championed by influential women including Michelle Obama, Reese Witherspoon, Julianne Moore, Diane Kruger, Kerry Washington, and Christy Turlington.
