This is the first in a series (hopefully) of exhibitions from my new nomadic art gallery which I've started to help find spaces to show the work of people what I like and also myself who I am indifferent to.
The first exhibition is based on an incident related in Gertrude Stein's 'Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas' wherein she invites all of her famous painter friends including Picasso and Matisse for dinner and cleverly sits them all across from their own work. Knowing how painters are, this arrangement makes them so happy that they have to send out twice for more bread!
There will be an inordinate number of baguettes on show as well as sexy and exciting work from even sexier and more exciting artists such as:
and Warren Andrews
The exhibition is in the Cafe Gallery at Rich Mix, right next to Shoreditch High St. Station on the East London line or a short walk from either Liverpool St. or Old St. Stations.
