Event map
The Contemporary Young Artist Award returns for it's fourth year. Celebrating emergent and early career artists; the award comprises work from 45 entrants, shortlisted from 1200 submissions. Pieces on display include paintings, prints, textiles and sculpture from artists based across the UK.
About
Developed by The Biscuit Factory, the Contemporary Young Artist Award invites early-career artists between the ages of 18 and 35 to submit work for the selling exhibition.
Shortlisted artists have their work displayed as part of a group show in the Newcastle gallery, with the grand prize of £2000 and a solo show invitation being unveiled at the launch event on Friday 6 March.
The exhibition runs until 23 May, during which the public can cast their own votes for a 'People's Choice' winner, who will receive a £500 cash prize.
