Contemporary Painting will feature original artworks by leading and emerging artists for whom painting forms a single strand within a multidisciplinary practice. From landscapes and portraits to abstract works, these local and international artists explore and unveil the growing, dynamic and vibrant contemporary painting scene.

Richard Harris takes us in a journey through the ways in which forces of abstraction are constantly changing, being enriched through new techniques and themes. His artworks completely captivate you by his use of colour, form and texture combinations. He brings out a sense of freedom through his brush strokes, provokes a cathartic release in the viewers who can appreciate his works as a window into their emotions, bursting out like the colours on the canvas. Also inviting us into a freeing experience, Howard Tweedie explores the theme of landscape, nature and our relationship with our surroundings. He finds his motives in nature, cities and architecture and creates bright, colourful and dynamic settings. It seems as if his landscape paintings are designed to create a window in your space through which you can escape and feel a sense of inner calm and peace.
