A solo exhibition showcasing artworks by Nickie Holford on the theme of connection.
About
Nickie has recently been expanding on the idea behind a diptych she created at the end of 2023. With everything that’s going on globally, it feels that people are drifting further apart rather than coming closer together, and we’re going backwards in terms of tolerance and understanding towards others deemed to be ‘different’ from ourselves.
The exhibition is based on the theme of connection between us all. It's the start of a project by Nickie exploring the connection to self and others, commonalities between us, while also celebrating the differences, through a series of portraits to reflect the beauty in each and every one of her subjects.
The exhibition will run from 24th April – 11th May 2024 at No 36 theartworkshop Gallery in Bells Road, Gorleston on Sea.
The gallery will be open Wednesday to Saturday each week during the exhibition, from 10am to 4pm (apart from Saturday 4th May when the gallery will be closed).
