As artists we are always mixing – materials, ideas, colours, disciplines, our various sources of inspiration. It is in the mixing that creativity happens – that we create something new. This is Confluence.
About
As artists we are always mixing – materials, ideas, colours, disciplines, our various sources of inspiration. It is in the mixing that creativity happens – that we create something new. This is Confluence.
And it’s not just the art objects themselves that manifest this. Art requires and it produces a confluence – of people. Confluence has brought together fourteen different artists, but it also brings together all the many viewers who come to visit the work.
Whether you come out of curiosity, for inspiration’s sake, or because life just happened to bring you here, something is shared. And like two streams of water meeting and joining the larger river in a geographical confluence, in coming together, we, too, become greater than ourselves. In this melting pot of ideas, things and people, change can happen.
