Good copywriting skills have never been more important. If you are required to write promotional copy as part of your job, and want to improve your craft and generate new ideas, this one-day course is for you. You'll look at the structure of successful ads and the tips and tricks professionals use to create a compelling message. The course will also cover the importance of good copywriting to digital channels. When you connect with your customers through twitter, email or mobile you are relying on words to communicate your campaigns. Facilitated by Rohan Candappa, a professional with over twenty years experience, you will be introduced to the principles of copywriting through a series of engaging practical exercises. In the morning there will be a live brief and you will be asked to produce a piece of writing which you will then review with feedback from your peers and Rohan. This course is essential if you work in a communications, marketing or fundraising role and are looking to improve your writing in a creative, supportive environment. It is also suitable for people looking for a break as a writer. After completing this course you will be able to: Confidently present a clear proposition Apply the basic principles of copywriting to on and offline media Review your writing with a more objective eye When you have completed this course you may want to find out more about design for marketing communications in Fundamentals of Layout Design with Adobe InDesign. Level No particular knowledge is required but you will get more out of the course if you have experience of writing promotional copy. Tutor Rohan Candappa has worked for over twenty years as a copywriter, in all kinds of agencies, on all kinds of clients, across all kinds of media. He's also a million-selling author whose books include ‘The Little Book Of Stress' — a handy guide to getting more stress in your life. And now he's devised a course to help copywriters get better at their craft. It's built round all the things he'd wished he'd known when he started writing copy.
