The artists gathered in this exhibition under the common theme of capitalism have, with their strong self-irony, always touched the nerve of our society by purposefully toying with stereotypes and prejudices, while simultaneously questioning them and thus inspiring an exploration full of reflection.

About

The dialogue between twentieth-century artist personalities like Erró, Robert Crumb, Steve Gianakos, and Mel Ramos and a younger generation of artists like Spencer Tunick, Massimo Vitali, Daniele Buetti, Oliver Dorfer, Anton Henning, Asgar/Gabriel, and Cameron Platter demonstrates a humorous treatment of fundamental topics related to humanity: sex drive and death instinct, loss self and and herd instinct . In contrast to current political correctness and concomitant paternalism, the selection of the artists reflects the social commitment of the Galerie Ernst Hilger.
