About

A weekend of engaging and lively discursive workshop sessions, lead by guest contributors comprising artists, curators and academics. The heart of the Symposium is a series of four Workshop-Discussions addressing questions around live art in the public realm and live art as socially engaged practice. These are Intentions and Un-intentions, Intimacy and Generosity, Politics of Access and Sensing the City. The Symposium will bring people together in Leeds from across the live art and performance sectors (programmers, curators, producers, academics and postgraduate students) as well as those interested in the public realm and socially engaged practice from other disciplines. Guest contributors so far include: Sue Ball, Gillian Dyson, Bob Levene, Charlie Fox, Bradley L. Garrett, Ilana Mitchell, Christian Nold, Renny O'Shea, Richard Sobey, Rajni Shah and Gary Winters
