An exhibition of paintings and prints by Jack Trewin, curated in collaboration with Jenny Hobson.
About
This exhibition brings together work from the past 5 years,
reflections on the modern city and the paths we follow or forge through it.
Built on the back of many commutes, the shared solitude, the route, the routine,
looking out, searching, trying to process, convert, and reflect,
Many of the pieces are painted onto cardboard packaging,
that abundant urban resource,
and also onto objects found in skips or lying on the street,
wood panels, cupboard doors, discarded signs
Prints of these paintings have been pasted in public spaces. This exhibition also includes many photos showcasing this practice.
