Colourplay juxtaposes of two photographs that have different contexts but a similar palette. It is part of Tape, a series of diptychs that unite urban notes taken in Lisbon and Buenos Aires (and to be continued in London). The series brings together images that share a colour or shape but are divided by being in different cities and different countries. The series highlights the similarities in human habitation, while delighting in the subtle regional differences.
Jorge Castro Henriques studied Photography in Lisbon. He has worked in the digitisation of the Tropical Research Institute (IICT) photographic collections. At the same time he has developed several photography projects in Lisbon, Buenos Aires and most recently in London.
