About
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
This workshop led by Lindsay Sekulowicz will focus on colour and include drawing from plants and raw materials throughout the day. Beginning outside the studio we will gather plants and make colour palettes, and in the afternoon we will be working with different pigments in their raw form, looking at various ways of extracting colour. We will draw on poetry and writing on colour, and consider how slow looking and careful observation can evoke memory as well as offering new ways of knowing.
In the morning we will be working outside so please bring warm clothing if necessary!
Materials are included.
Guest Series Format: Our Thursday evening series of workshops will focus on extending drawing through low-tech, low cost, DIY techniques. The creatives leading each workshop are young and emerging, yet each is working in a strong and accomplished way with their approach and materials.
