'Colour Connections' | Sara Moorhouse | Maria Wojdat brings together two artists who work with strong colour and form.
About
Maria Wojdat originally trained as a graphic designer before discovering the wonders of working with clay. She combines an intuitive approach to making with a controlled use of decoration and colour. A strong colour palette accentuates her rounded organic shapes. Maria is inspired by opposing themes - organic and geometric, spontaneous and controlled.
Sara Moorhouse works with colour palettes that are informed by landscape. She interprets the many different ways the appearance of the landscape is altered through the changing seasonal colours, weather, time and farming. Her meticuously thrown bowls act as canvases for paintings that distill scenes into line and colour.
