An exhibition of large scale abstract oil paintings by Aberdeen artist, J. Gordon Brown.
Based in WASPS in Aberdeen, J. Gordon Brown paints beautiful, emotive works, taking influence from what may ordinarily go unnoticed; working with photographs of his colourful surroundings in the Granite City.
In collaboration with Iain Gildea, Brown has entered into the world of the moving image, creating a film that will be included in the Colour Abstracts exhibition.
The film, along with the full collection of paintings and a new print made in the Peacock Visual Arts workshop, will be revealed at the opening on Friday 10 May at 6pm.
An exhibition catalogue has also been published in association with Gray's School of Art, and will be available to purchase at the opening.
