Colonize Revisited by SCIBase

About

As part of their Liverpool Biennial programme, Arena Studios & Gallery presents Colonize Revisited A version of the highly successful recent exhibition by SCIBase artists in Jamestown, New York. Private view Thursday 10th July, 6pm — 9pm. Exhibition open Friday 11th — Sun 13th July 11 am — 5pm And Thursday 17th - Sunday 20th July 11am — 5pm. SCI are a branch of Soup Collective (SC) a long standing Liverpool Artists group. This exhibition is part of an ongoing series of events under the ‘SCIBase' moniker. This began in conjunction with Bruce Davies' BasementArtsProject, Leeds with the Stockholm Independent Art Fair Supermarket 2012 and in 2014 with an exhibition entitled COLONIZE that took place in 3rd on 3rd Gallery and DykemanYoung Galleries in Jamestown, New York, USA. Included in the list of National and International artists participating in this exhibition are Liverpool based artists Wendy Williams (founder of SCI) and Arena Artist & Director Carol Ramsay as well as Julie Dodd and Alan Dunn (2012 Liverpool Art Prize nominee), Bruce Davies, Andrew Crighton and Jacqueline F Kerr. Guest artists from near and far will also be exhibiting 'postcard' pieces alongside the SCIBase work. Join us at the Private view or pop along to any of the open days to see what is sure to be a fabulous exhibition.
