An exhibition on collecting, with Brazilian works selected from private collections in Britain

About

A showcase of works by leading historical and contemporary Brazilian artists, the exhibition will concentrate on key pieces in UK private collections. Taking place during the week of Frieze Art Fair and curated by Isobel Whitelegg and Maria do Mar Guinle, the show will be accompanied by a publication exploring the act of collecting and the relationship between artists and collectors. The exhibition will include works by: Brà ­gida Baltar / Sandra Cinto / Lygia Clark Detanico & Lain / Marcius Galan / André Komatsu Cinthia Marcelle / Lucia Nogueira / Nicolás Robbio / Mira Schendel Preceding the Private View, the curators Maria do Mar Guinle and Isobel Whitelegg will be joined for a round table discussion by Guy Brett, John and Stuart Evans, Bel Pedrosa and the newly appointed Chief Curator of the 29th Sà £o Paulo Biennial, Moacir dos Anjos, 5-6pm* *Attendance is free but booking is essential: gallery32@brazil.org.uk The works in the exhibition were kindly loaned by Guy Brett, Serena Cattaneo, Stuart and Margaret Evans, Jack Kirkland, Catherine and Franck Petitgas, and by the Lodeveans and Zabludowicz collections
