An Introduction to Collecting Limited Edition Prints and Works on Paper

About

What is an original print? Can I buy for investment? How do editions work? How can I value an artwork? What's the difference between a linocut and a woodcut? Where do I start? If you are asking yourself any of these questions, then you need to visit The Fine Art Partnership's ‘Collecting Original Prints' exhibition. By showcasing works for sale by established ‘greats' such as Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse and Henry Moore alongside ‘contemporary masters' including Howard Hodgkin, John Hoyland and Norman Ackroyd and emerging talents such as Jason Hicklin, Amanda Danicic and Mila Furstova, this exhibition will provide an essential guide to starting your collection. There will be an introduction to the variety of printmaking techniques, advice on buying for investment, tips on finding a bargain and help on caring for and insuring your collection. The directors of The Fine Art Partnership, Rebecca and Vincent Eames will be on hand to offer friendly advice and answer any questions you might have. So please join us for an informal drink at the preview evening on Wednesday 3 November from 5.30pm to 8.30pm or at any time during the rest of the exhibition until 4pm on Sunday 7 November. If you can't make it to the exhibition please call us on 020 7993 3010 to arrange a private collector's consultation at our studio on Great Guildford Street SE1 (near Tate Modern.)
