About
Be Smart About Art has teamed up with this cutting-edge show to provide budding millennial collectors a unique experience in time for Saturday brunch - potentially with a work of art in hand to show friends.The tour will be led by Sylvie Gormezano, an independent curator and Chair of the Association of Women Art Dealers (AWAD).
You will:
- Gain early morning behind-the-scenes access and see artists rehanging stands ahead of a busy day;
- Learn about art - and buying it;
- See Sylvie's selected highlights and meet artists;
- Discover new artists;

The tour will conclude with a coffee reception in the upstairs lounge, where Sylvie will be available to answer questions. The fair organisers, Roy's People and Samuel Peacock, will also pop up to say hello!
About Roy's People Art Fair:
This artist-led Fair has been created by Roy's People & Samuel Peacock to give artists an alternative platform to present their work. It offers a unique art fair experience for visitors who can interact with artists and buy work directly from them at the Fair. Visitors will discover original affordable artwork from 60 artists carefully selected by a panel of experts based on quality and talent.
Programme:
10.00 - 10.15am: Arrivals (in reception).
10.15am - 11.00am: Talk (collecting art from the insider's view of the art world) and tour of the fair, highlighting six artists.
11.00 - 11.15am: Q+A on the art world and collecting in the upstairs lounge.
About the tour guide:
Sylvie has a passion and commitment to promoting contemporary and emerging creative talent. She uses her extensive consultancy background to mentor artists and galleries and advise on professional development, encouraging creative and effective working practices and de-mystifying marketing and promotion as tools to success. In addition, she curates one-off exhibitions in London and SW France. Sylvie is also the Chair of AWAD and a Professional Enterprise Mentor.
