About

Collagraph is a collage printmaking technique; the imagery is composed from a variety of textured materials glued to a printing plate. It is a very accessible way of making prints using everyday materials such as leaves, card, wallpaper, string and even foodstuffs, and can produce wonderfully textured and sophisticated images. Carborundum is a grit, which is applied to the printing plate to create rich tones and textures, used in combination with other materials it can give an impression of embossing as well as printing. Carborundum can be applied in various ways making it a very versatile technique; it can be used to create both expressive painterly mark-making as well as graphical type imagery. Workshops are for adults aged 18 years and over. Advance booking is essential. To book a place on any workshop: Phone 01723 351461 Email: info@crescentarts.co.uk
