A Gap I Mind is a newly formed theatre company. Our ethos is to involve and inspire young performers and actors to realise there potential and develop their creative urges: to the point of exploring and developing productions and workshops. We will provide an environment for all forms of collaboration where ideas can be put into action. The first step is to get all of you who share this desire together. We begin with a workshop…. Collaborative Physical Theatre for Performance Artists. The workshop explores the potential for physical expression through the body and movement, to discover and then challenge the capabilities of your form. We will play with a series of exercises that provoke you to move your body with commitment, purpose and energy in order for you to achieve your creative objectives. There are many aspects that work of this nature has to offer, many of them personal to the individual and intensely valuable to all genres of expression The physical workshop will encourage… Further confidence in your body and the way it moves, through exploration. The crucial core strength and discipline of the body. The release of physical & social inhibitions. Trust in self and others An ability to work in an atmosphere that is highly beneficial to one's own creativity but also acutely conscious of the creativity of others. We relish variety therefore the group will host artists from many different disciplines professional and none-professionals. The workshops will be starting January 2010 Dates: 25/01/2010 — 15/02/2010 Mondays 7pm — 9pm. 6pm -10 pm on Monday 15/02 extended for performance. (Participants will have the opportunity to invite guests of their choice). Where: Lower Studio, Brixton St Vincent's Community centre. Price: £40 (to be paid by 20/01/10) All profits will go towards providing the constant environment and platform for what we produce in the future.
