This workshop directly leads on from the current exhibition Haptic/Tacit where working together in order to share ideas, are important to creative thinking.
We hope to encourage conversations, problem solving, and develop a group narrative by bringing people together within the context of thinking through making.
This clay based workshop is focussed on the collective voice to make one large structure or several structures using architecture and or the built environment as a starting point for making.
These can be inspired by anything from animal architecture such as dwelling places, hives or dens to Vernacular architecture or more traditional forms of our built environment including the buildings we interact with on a daily basis.
Feel free to bring along a selection of objects or natural found materials with you.
These can be incorporated into the making process for textures and mark-making, or additional materials such as wood, doweling, wire to help create the main structural framework.
