This exhibition brings together the work of artists Ra Ra Seb and Myles Burgess. Originally from France and Australia respectively, Seb and Burgess have each lived a few different lives around the world before ending up in the UK. They are both now settled in London, the city where they met and now share their passion for painting. It is this passion that they try to capture on the canvas, and through their abstract brush strokes they hope to express a multitude of small visions and thoughts to the viewer.
“We try to be simple and listen when making marks. Trying to paint music, or a feeling. Sometimes this includes small things that might not necessarily seem important to record, like the shapes that appear on the back of your eyelids when you look at something really bright and then look away again. The outline of light on the page - sometimes our own shadows, or dappled sunlight through trees.”
Ra and Myles bring their first collaborative show to Craving Coffee from October 5.
