CODEX: BETWEEN THIS AND THAT is an arts project by Collective Investigations, set up by Egidija Ciricaite, George Cullen and Chris Gibson as a platform to broaden discourse on the idea of the book through investigation into codex, as it's dominant form.

CODEX: BETWEEN THIS AND THAT (the book) is an artist's book which explores thoughts, opinions and ideas that book as a codex represents through the many contexts of it's existence. The publication contains contributions from Mark Cockram, Les Bicknell, Riccardo Boglione, Michelle Brown, Paul Coldwell, Ali van Dam, Janine Harrington, Susan Johanknecht, Sharon Kivland, Pauline Lamont-Fisher, Richard Price, Stevie Ronnie, Erin K. CODEX: BETWEEN THIS AND THAT (workshops) will be taking place at Shoreditch Library and Clapham Library between April 19-May 03, 2013.The workshops are free. No experience necessary, but ability to thread a needle would be an advantage. The workshops will introduce basic bookmaking skills and their creative potential. Phone the library to register.
