Welcome to Coastal Currents 2018, funded by the Arts Council England, Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex Arts Partnership.
This is the 20th year of Coastal Currents and to mark that, we are working with even more artists and curators than ever before.
About
A community festival at its core, Coastal Currents looks to work with local artists on site-specific pieces to create a legacy concerned with bringing more art to the streets around us, and helping us look at our towns and spaces in a new and often intriguing light.
With hundreds of artists taking part in the Open Studios and 36 individual events and exhibitions as well as shows at some of the best venues in town, I want to say a huge thanks to the community which keep fuelling this festival year on year and allowing me to find the inspiration and the energy to keep making it bigger and better. So get out there and enjoy the extensive programme of exhibitions, interventions, performances and events we have in store for you, over the course of the whole month of September.
