About
Strangelove: moving image festival and Fashion in Film festival presents Clothes on the Move: Whats Behind the Production of Fashion Films? panel discussion.
What are the production and commercial realities of creating fashion films? Who commissions and finances them? Who are the image-makers and where do they come from? This panel will take you behind the scenes to discuss the possibilities the moving image has recently presented to the fashion industry and the challenges this has posed. We will look at the different functions the fashion film performs within the industry and how it relates to more traditional formsof display and communication, especially still editorials and print campaigns.
Panel:
Marketa Uhlirova: Director and Curator of Fashion in Film and Senior Research Fellow at Central Saint Martins. (Chair)
Marcus Werner Hed: award-winning director of fiction and documentary films.
Stephen Whelan: Executive Producer and Creative Director of the production house White Lodge
Lernert & Sander: a Dutch artistic duo who create concept-driven art films and installations
