Van Sant's "GeoSphere Project" was a massive 1990s effort to make a "live" Earth model to help save her "narrow hospitality zone for life". Today, NASA, Nvidia, & more are making Earth Systems Digital Twins, 21st-century digital Geospheres that may yet save the world.

Tour the exhibition before it closes with curator Janet Owen Driggs. Learn more about Tom Van Sant and the GeoSphere Project, fly one of his showstopper kites using Augmented Reality (he was also the "grandfather of modern kite-making"!), and hear a detective story about the GeoSphere's connection to Google Earth.
