About

Dir. Agnès Varda, with Corinne Marchand, Antoine Bourseiller, Michel Legrand Running time: 90 minutes France/Italy Language: French with subtitles Certificate: PG Agnès Varda's second feature remains a highlight of the extraordinary outpouring of French movies in the early 60s. Following a pop singer around the streets and parks of Paris as she whiles away two hours awaiting the results of some medical tests, this subtle, innovative character study also succeeds brilliantly as a stylish, vivid documentary style portrait of a wondrously vibrant city. Coinciding with the 50th Anniversary of the film's release tonight's screening will be followed by a discussion on the film, its legacy and the career of Agnès Varda.
