About

Learn plaster and clay techniques to develop site-responsive ceramics. Using the Whisky Bond site as our inspiration and starting point, over 3 sessions this course will introduce you to basic plaster techniques (sledging, casting, mould-making) to generate press-mounded and hand-built site-responsive pieces, textured panels, and clay sculptural forms.

James Rigler trained as an architectural terracotta mould-maker and studied at the University of Brighton and the Royal College of Art where he  completed an MA in Ceramics & Glass. He works with architectural decoration and mass-production ceramic techniques to create site-responsive sculptures and regularly exhibits work nationally and internationally.
