DegreeArt Gallery hosts the first solo show by one of Contemporary Collective's rising stars - Claire Luxton.
About
The upcoming exhibition at the DegreeArt.com Gallery showcases the work of multi-disciplinary,
Contemporary Collective artist Claire Luxton. ‘Avalon’ seeks to explore the notions of submersion and
suspension, further examining the powerful themes within the realms of the sublime. Luxton will work
site-specifically to radically transform the gallery space, seeking to suspend the viewer in an immersive
environment.
Through the juxtaposition of space, physicality and materiality, ‘Avalon’ will aim to elevate and heighten the
viewers’ experience of the work by focusing on the nuances of transformation and aesthetics.
