Christianna was brought up between London and Berlin. Her work explores the ever changing face of the urban landscape, she says: “the images that reach the canvas are often unconscious photos from the album in my mind.” Sections of buildings, snapshots of decay, contoured lines from the topography on a map and fleeting images from memory expressed are with bold abstract forms.
Graphite marks appear in her work, refer to physical movement in our urban environment. Her work appears as a phenomenological expression of the experience of being in these places.
She has a BA (Hons)in Film and Photography from The University of Westminster and a BA(Hons)in Fine Art which she studied at The Cass School of Art and Design.
