To coincide with the exhibition ‘To be we need to know the river’ artist Hayley Harrison will be holding a 'Circle of listening'

About

The morning will be made up of a silent walk and short meditative listening activities. There will be time to share and reflect.

This circle will explore how we are in relationship to each other whilst in relationship to the more-than-human. We will bear witness to individual sounds, simultaneously, via each other and via the natural elements we encircle. We will gently move to, from and around the trees as we listen.

What does the park sound like via the trunk of a tree, a single leaf, or the palm of your hand.

We will each leave with a question - we will each leave a question.

This event will be part of Hayley Harrison’s on going ‘Circle of Listening’ gatherings exploring deep listening and holding space together.

Hayley Harrison is an artist working with people, forgotten spaces and abandoned materials (human and non-human) to start conversations about our relationships with each other and places we call home, within the more-than-human world. A sense of place is a central theme in their practice which they use to explore the Earth Crisis and consequential collective and personal grief.

Location and timings:
