Der Divan - The Arab House of Culture in Berlin opens in collaboration with the Embassy of Lebanon in Germany the exhibition "Circle of Life" featuring renowned artists Italian-Lebanese Giorgia Fonnesu and Lebanese Emmanuel Guiragossian.
About
Emmanuel Guiragossian is a master at depicting the human figure and the animal. In many of his paintings the human being is the focus. Not as an individual in a single depiction but in groups. It is characteristic that many people stand together close together leaning against each other intertwined.
Italian-Lebanese artist Georgia Fonnesu who makes objects and sculptures out of clay. Georgia who was born in 1974 grew up on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea between Lebanon and Sardinia. "The sea has always surrounded my life moreover the Mediterranean has influenced my way of thinking especially when I realised the great connection between my homelands Sardinia and Lebanon" Giorgia says.
