The South Street Gallery is launching its Christmas exhibition on Saturday 28th November. Alongside many new artists there will be a special feature of the work by York based artist Malcolm Ludvigsen.
He is an oil-painter with a particular interest in plein-air painting. He can often be seen painting outdoors on Scarborough's historic Esplanade, or directly on the beach of the North and South bays. When he is not painting, he is a professor of mathematics with an international reputation for work in relativity, black holes, and cosmology. He is author of a well-known book on general relativity.
The show will offer an eclectic mix of paintings, printmaking, ceramics, glass, steel sculpture, knitted jewellery and felt handcrafted items.
